Something Old

Since SCAD got out, I've been sorting through my files and folders on my laptop to get rid of a lot of the crap I have on here. I ran into a few files that I'd done back in high school. Back then, I drew a lot of Akira Toriyama inspired manga styled stuff. I even did it reading from right to left! Say what you will, but that's what I was into back then and I maintain that Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball series is a freakin' kickass manga.

The series was called "Urban Ninja" and I used to post it up on a board at my highschool. I had a few fans and readers and I enjoyed doing it. Looking back now, it was a bit silly and I do believe the main character was a Mary-Sue or Mary-Jane or whoever it is. Here's a particularly fun title page I did of Hiro (the story's hero... geddit?) being escorted out of purgatory by a little dude I called the Ferryman. It was a silly part of the story that I just suddenly thought would be fun to do in the middle of the plot!

I'd never do that now! Or would I? Here's the pic:

Hm... looks like blogger inverted the colors. It looks so cool!
This is crap, now it won't load properly! Let's see if it does it normally next time.

It was in CMYK. There's the problem...
