Well everyone, it looks like fate (and Joe) forces my hand to make a new post!

The mini is coming along nicely. I just finished thumbnailing the Andy story and need to pencil four more pages for that. Erik is already scripted and I since I wrote the thing, I'm not going to thumbnail it (although I might do some test sketches). Erik is going to be drawn smaller too, 1) to save time and effort and 2) because I want to use microns and have rounded edges to my lines, giving it a childish feel... Andy is the full 11 x 17 though...

I made a stencil to draw a 10 x 15 frame so I don't have to waste time with Mr. T-Square. This was not a fantastic idea. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who's trying to cut corners as you have to keep it steady, get it straight on the bristol and hold it still while you draw. If you haven't already, get friendly with Mr. T-Square, a little tape and the corner of your drafting table... and apparently it's bad to measure out from the edge of your bristol, as the people that cut these pads ain't exactly careful with that stuff...

Of course, I'm preaching to the choir. So now it's art time!!

This is something I did in the awe-inspiring David Allan Duncan's cartooning class. I figured jokes about racism were easy to do (Dave Chapelle, Carlos Mencia to name a few) and while I was trying to come up with an idea I remembered all the different colored people in Doug! Almost every character was a different color! It was odd!! Anyway, here you go!I'm just about over the wisdom teeth thing now. Bailey's away this weekend, so I'm gonna try and work hard on the mini! Ta-ta for now...
